C-Park’s 6th Anniversary: Milestones and Memories

In a remarkable celebration of dedication and community spirit, C-Park celebrated its 6th anniversary on August 15, 2024. Over the years, we have had the honor of transforming the lives of over 1,000 individuals, making this achievement especially meaningful to us. The event was not just a milestone but a reflection of the organization’s journey in transforming lives and fostering positive change. With over 90 participants, both in-person and online, the day was filled with reflection, inspiration, and a renewed commitment to C-Park’s mission.

The day began with an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation, as dynamic hosts, Apsara and Joshika set the stage for a series of engaging activities. The event opened with an inaugural speech by the youngest volunteer at C-Park, Ms. Lenita, whose words captured the essence of the organization’s values—empathy, collaboration, and the belief in collective action. This powerful start reminded everyone of Helen Keller, who once said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”

In a touching gesture of appreciation, the trustees of C-Park presented elegant shawls to the distinguished guests, recognizing their on-going support and dedication. A prayer led by Rev. Father Alex followed, providing a moment of reflection and spiritual grounding for the day’s events. The presence of several revered Fathers further elevated the occasion, reinforcing C-Park’s mission with their blessings and words of encouragement.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the anniversary contest themed “Journey to Self-accountability.” This contest encouraged participants to explore and express their personal understanding of accountability, both to themselves and their community. Father William announced the winners, with Ms. Priya taking first prize, followed by Ms. Yaazharasi and Mr. Daniel Dawson J. Special recognition was also given to Mrs. Getciyal Jeganathan and Mr. Jebaraj Paul for their outstanding contributions. The contest reflected the core of C-Park’s mission—encouraging growth, learning, and self-reflection.

Ms. Anita, Founder of The Mind Body Foundation – Counseling Center, delivered a compelling keynote address. She emphasized the importance of self-accountability, urging everyone to take responsibility for their actions and to be aware of the impact they have on others. “We are our choices,” she stated, highlighting the profound role that personal responsibility plays in shaping our lives and the lives of those around us.

Followed by the talk, Father Peter, the guiding light of C-Park, delivered an inspiring speech on the theme “Revive Happiness.” His address focused on the importance of enhancing the lives of others through both prayer and meaningful actions. He urged everyone present to contribute to a more fulfilling and joyous world by positively impacting those around them.

The celebration also featured moving testimonies from beneficiaries who expressed their deep gratitude for the unwavering support they’ve received from C-Park over the years. One notable success story highlighted was that of a student whose educational journey from the 8th standard through college was fully funded by C-Park. In addition, the organization has empowered women by providing sewing machines, enabling them to achieve financial independence. C-Park also covered the medical expenses of two children who faced serious health challenges.

A beneficiary from the Palam Foundation attended the event and shared her experiences of how C-Park has played a crucial role in supporting the tribal community. The event also highlighted an act of spontaneous generosity, as an immediate donor stepped forward to fund the construction of a much-needed restroom for the tribal community. This gesture was met with immense gratitude, reflecting the spirit of compassion that C-Park continues to inspire.

Additionally, online videos featuring testimonials from beneficiaries were shared during the event, offering a broader audience a glimpse into the profound impact that C-Park’s efforts have had on their lives. These personal stories served as powerful reminders of C-Park’s significant and lasting impact on individuals and communities, demonstrating how compassion and support can truly transform lives.

As the event drew to a close, Mrs. Sharemila, one of C-Park’s trustees, expressed her deep gratitude to all supporters and well-wishers. She acknowledged the collective effort that has driven C-Park’s success and emphasized that the journey ahead will continue to be guided by the same spirit of community and service.

The celebration fittingly concluded with the national anthem, coinciding with India’s Independence Day. It was a moment of unity, symbolizing the shared purpose of the nation and C-Park’s mission to serve and uplift. As C-Park looks to the future, the 6th-anniversary celebration stands as a testament to the power of community, compassion, and the enduring impact of collective efforts.
