August is a very special month for us as we remember, reflect, and celebrate our Foundation Day. C-Park celebrated its 4th Anniversary on 15 August 2022, both virtually and in person. 15th August is a significant date for every citizen of India. It has been 75 years since we got our independence and therefore, this day will always be a day of pride and joy. 4 years ago, on this same day, C-Park took its first baby steps towards uplifting the less privileged people. Our vision to celebrate daily life with happiness and live to fulfill the requirements of human beings is as pertinent today as it was then. Step by step, day by day, month by month, C-Park reached out its support to several less privileged people and expanded gradually. Today, we are glad to have transformed the lives of 280+ families in PAN India.
A Milestone to Remember!
C-Park crossed another milestone this year by completing its 4th Anniversary. This special occasion was celebrated with families, friends, participants, well-wishers, and special guests. The event started at 10 AM and more than 50 participants actively joined the event and stayed connected with us throughout the session. The welcome speech was delivered by the youngest volunteer of C-Park. She greeted the gathering and acknowledged their presence with sincere gratitude.
Followed by the inaugural speech, Rev. Fr. Dr. Peter Thumma, who can be called a spiritual director of our Trustees, blessed the event with his prayerful words. Father shared a wonderful message on how everyone could join together and make this world a beautiful place to live in for all. To make the event more memorable, a video was played, which highlighted the services and achievements of C-Park. It was a proud moment for us as we were able to make visible changes in society by helping people meet their needs.
Every year, the key deed of the year is provided right before our anniversary as we look out for the most deserving person. This year’s deed was shared by the vibrant host of the event and a testimonial video was played. Also, as a part of our celebration, Doctor Dominic Xaviar joined us to deliver an edifying talk on “Know your Responsibility.” It was a great opportunity to connect and interact with the founder of the YANA (You Are Not Alone) Counseling center. He is a well-qualified Psychologist with 10+ years of experience as a practitioner, who enlightened us on the different ways to practice self-responsibility.
Being self-empowered with the talk, we moved to the winner declaration part of the event. C-Park conducted a Self-responsibility Survey contest in which many participants expressed their views on being responsible. Three winners were awarded exciting cash awards for their approach, understanding, and practicality. Ms. Yaazharasi C. stood first, Ms. Adelene Jenefer won the second prize, and Ms. Priya Madesh received the third prize. Also, a special prize was awarded to Ms. Chazhoor Vineetha Vincent for conveying self-responsibility in the form of a video. Winners were congratulated and offered an opportunity to share their happiness.
As the event came to an end, the vote of thanks was proposed by one of the passionate volunteers of C-Park. She extended her heartfelt gratitude to everyone present at the event for their consistent support and humble prayers. Since our foundation day falls on India’s Independence Day, we played our National Anthem for which everyone stood up and expressed their respect. With a grateful heart, we thanked everyone for embarking on this journey with us and generously helping us make this event a grand success.
